Energy Audits

Just like any machine used daily, the house you have created a life in is made up of interacting components. If one fails it affects all the other parts and how well they perform.

Linked-FileA home energy audit, also known as a home energy assessment, evaluates the existing components of your house- building construction, insulation, air infiltration, HVAC systems, lighting, and appliances- and helps you determine where it is losing energy and money. It determines the tightness of the thermal envelope, the barrier between conditioned space and either unconditioned space or the outdoors.

Our energy auditors, trained by the Building Performance Institute (BPI), and collaborating with Mass Save’s lead vendors, gather information and assess where any problems exist. They then provide a report of what measures you can take to make your home more energy efficient. They will also inform you about the numerous rebates and incentives that each improvement qualifies for and how having an audit is the first step to qualify for one of the 0% interest HEAT Loans. Implementation of these recommendations are an effective way of saving you money, reducing your footprint, and improving the comfort and safety of your home.
